Libraries for Peace (L4P) Day, September 21

On September 21st, JOIN libraries and others globally to CELEBRATE Libraries for Peace (L4P) Day in observation of International Day of Peace with the world community.

International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21 September each year. The United Nations General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples. In 2016, the Mortenson Center for International Library Programs initiated Libraries for Peace (L4P) Day to promote libraries and others in strengthening the ideals of peace in their communities, in accordance with the United Nations yearly theme.
